The Three Counties Tour

One of our more specialist tours, working in the border areas of County Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria in the wild and naturally beautiful areas of Weardale and Alston. A full day packed with adventure and all sorts of terrain challenges, we’ve got some particularly challenging rock sections on this one where slow speed and vehicle control are supremely important. Weather and ground conditions permitting we have quite an interesting hill descent into a valley and then a very tricky ascent up the other side.

Your day begins with a meeting time of 0930hrs in the market place of Stanhope, County Durham. After briefings and admin we set off and head west and after a short distance we leave the tarmac and your day of exploration begins. We drop into three counties during the day namely Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria with the day concluding in the highest market town in England, Alston.
