The Heart and Coast of Classic Wales this tour literally has “something for everyone”; from magnificent lakes and mountains to breath taking sea views. Then there is the driving! There are plenty of tracks to keep everyone on the edge of their seats; the tarmac becomes a breathing space to take in the views before the next epic lane.

Based in Dolgellau we use our specialist knowledge of the area to ensure we can maximize what can truly be described as a classic tour. During the weekend tour we aim to include the following lanes (subject to weather conditions and TRO’s) –  Nant y Moch, Happy Valley, Bomber Lane, Coed y Brenin Forest, Corwen Car Wash, Wayfarer, Pheasant Penn, Allty Badi and Ceririog Trail.

We recommend that vehicles are well prepared. Standard four wheel drives will struggle and vehicles with standard front bumpers are potentially going to have clearance issues. A standard Defender or modified Discovery is fine for clearance but we must insist that all terrain tyres are fitted as a bare minimum as sections of this route have areas of quite rough and at times rocky terrain.

We grade this tour as having medium to challenging difficulty and is therefore suitable for heavier vehicles with transfer gearboxes.
