Classic Wales 3 Day Explorer
Friday 21 April 2017 - Sunday 23 April 2017
Feedback from this event:
Thanks to All Terrain Tours for such a well organised 3 day trip. Some great lanes, wonderful scenery to admire from some fantastic vantage points. You certainly learn a lot about your car, and its capabilities. Lots of time to watch others do the tricky bits before it's your turn! You are well looked after at these points, to ensure your car is in the right place on the lanes. 90's, 110's disco 3 and 4 in our group, all coped admirably. Thoroughly enjoyed myself........roll on the next one. Loads of photos to look back at remind you where you went too. Thanks to George and Mark, Simon and Ian.
Having only participated on one of your tours previously, a day on one from your relaxed and scenic category, I must admit to some trepidation whilst driving down to Wales for this 3 day tour-athon wondering if that taster may have actually unleashed enthusiasm for a longer and more technical/challenging tour that would transpire to be in excess of my relatively limited off road ability.
I should not have been concerned though as the expertise and support from you, Mark and Ian, plus the comradery of the group generally, made for an excellent tour - from realising we were still in the bar at 2am on the night before the first day right though to when we all said our farewells 3 days later and I returned home with my wife’s defender completely unscathed, much to her relief, by the weekends exploits.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough – or for that matter any that you offer - and Ed and I already plan to repeat this specific one with you next year and of course are already signed up for Yorkshire’s Roman Roads and Beyond in August.
Thank you for an excellent weekend – hopefully my attempts as tail end gate closer were not too bad!
#ATT – probablythebest4x4greenlanetourguidecompanyintheworld!
I would just like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed our 'Classic Wales' trek. The whole group was friendly and welcoming which added to a great weekend. The trek itself was fabulous, stunning views (helped by the weather you personally organized ?) and great tracks with just the right amount of 'technical' stuff to keep it really interesting. I will certainly be back for more! Hopefully in my own vehicle next time!
Adrian and myself would just like to Thank you and all the Team at All Terrain Tours for another fantastic trip to Wales.
It truly was so much fun from beginning to end a fantastic bunch of people meeting New friends & Old. Evening catch ups of the days events telling stories of the things we got up to enjoying a few light beverages and camp fire to keep us warm.
You all really do go the extra mile to ensure everyone is well and truly taken care of during the trip and all of the combined knowledge and helpful advice from yourselves and more advanced participants to those of us still just learning is amazing.
Again thank you to all!!
Adrian & I hope to be a part of many more adventures that are not paved. ;-)
Thank you to the whole All Terrain Tours crew for a superb 3-day tour of Wales. It was our 1st overnighter (3 nights actually) with ATT, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
For me, it was upping the game a bit, having done a number of 'relaxed and scenic' tours and just one slightly more challenging day trip.
Car modded and reinforced, we set off for the hotel, arriving on Thursday night for a bright and early start on Friday morning. The 1st lane of the weekend was indeed epic - it
had been one I wanted to do for a while and it was worth the wait. I'm going to order slightly more water for next time! Hubby did the most technical bit, although everyone who wanted another go did get the opportunity. I chose not to, but promise I will next time. After an interesting day, we set up camp near Dolgellau - thanks to the guys for organising such a clean, tidy and accommodating campsite (not to mention the breakfasts, which were fab!)
Day 2 consisted of a variety of lanes, some technical, some just amazingly scenic. It was another full day - a testament to the value provided by ATT.
Sunday was probably my favourite day, albeit in a slightly sad 'end of the holiday' way. What can I say about the ford?!. Then some technical stuff to really get the adrenaline going, before saying goodbyes and heading our separate ways.
The weekend has added a new element to the ATT experience for me - meeting new friends and catching up with old ones, campfire banter and eyeing up other people's mods to their cars. It was also great for me to see my previous steed, Roxanne the Rexton. She's certainly 'grown' since I last drove her in October.
Huge thanks to Mark and to Simon (mechanic and fabricator extraordinaire!), with particular thanks to George & Ian for looking after our group so well, for the calm and expert tuition and putting up with backchat over the radio!
